My life was forever changed on Feb 5, 2008, my wedding anniversary by the way, when I suffered a significant right sided ischemic stroke. I have learned and observed much over the years since this life altering event …and I don’t mean that in a bad way.
My family, my extended family, my “adopted” family and those who have become family, certain great friends (old and new) and the privilege of meeting survivors, a never ending source of inspiration…all played important roles in my on-going recovery.
The Stroke Prevention Center started out of commitment, compassion, seeing a need and acting on it. I have been blessed with this energetic group that makes up the Stroke Prevention Center.
